Adrey Engineers is a specialist Structural Design & Civil Engineering company providing consultancy services across the country. The firm is involved with structural design, preparation of detailed project report (DPR) and providing expert advice during execution of innovative & major bridges, flyovers, rail over bridges (ROBs) and underpasses. Empanelled with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, India, the company employs state-of-the-art technologies & latest available techniques. Alok Panday, the founder of the company, post graduated in structures from IIT Roorkee in 1994 and has more than 23 years of professional experience. In his professional career, he has been primarily involved with design of innovative & major bridges, flyovers, rail over bridges (ROBs), underpasses, amusement parks, tall buildings, plated & shell structures and water retaining structures.

He is associated with the World Bank to review design, drawings and quality of construction of bridges and also to develop quality assurance manual for bridges. Professionally, he has been to many countries like Malaysia, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, Germany, Denmark & Cape Town.

He has given presentation to the Secretaries Generals of eight Regional Economic Communities (REC) of Africa on Computer Aided Design of Roads & Bridges on behalf of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways at Ministry of External Affairs, South Block, New Delhi. He is member of some of the codal committees of Indian Road Congress and Quality Assurance Handbook published by National Rural Roads Development Agency.

 He is a guest faculty at Indian Academy of Highway Engineers (owned by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways) and National Rural Roads Development Agency (Ministry of Rural Roads) and delivered more than 100 lectures on the design, construction, maintenance & rehabilitation of various types of bridges, flyovers & other structures across the country to train the engineers of the government departments and private agencies of India & other countries. He has published more than 30 papers on the subject at national/international conferences.

PROJECTS SHOWCASE

  • DPR FOR BRIDGE OVER BANER KHAD AT RD KM 216/610 ON NH 88 IN THE STATE OF HIMACHAL PRADESH

The bridge over Baner Khadis a unique framed arch bridge having a total length of 112.219m. The structural system of the bridge primarily consists of a central span of 90m having three number arch ribs placed @ 3.5m c/c in the transverse direction. Inclined (outwards) piers which are in line with arch ribs extend the deck further by 8.08m on one side and 14.139m on other side beyond the springing points. Isolated foundations of the bridge at two ends are at different levels with level difference about 11m as required by the site conditions. The bridge has been designed for high seismic forces of zone V and opened to the traffic.



Baner khad bridge, Himachal Pradesh

  • STRUCTURAL DESIGN OF FLYOVER ON NH37 NEAR LGBI AIRPORT, ASSAM:

The flyover which has been opened to the traffic is a continuous floating (partly integral) flyover having span arrangement of 2.5m overhang + 22.5m + five spans of 30m + 22.5m + 2.5m overhang resulting into total viaduct length of 200m. The flyover has voided slab type superstructure supported by twin piers resting overpile foundations. There are no intermediate expansion joints and bearings have been provided only over outer two piers on either side (central four piers monolithic with deck). Total length of the flyover including approaches (on reinforced soil wall) is about 740m. Flyover has been designed for high seismic forces of zone V.

DPR FOR BRIDGE OVER CHAKKI KHAD AT RD KM 12/0 ON NH 20 IN THE STATE OF HIMACHAL PRADESH:

Chakki Khad Bridge is a sixteen span continuous integral bridge (piers monolithic with superstructure) with bridge length of 521.3m and maximum individual span length of 40.35m. Bearings have been completely eliminated from the bridge and expansion joints have been provided only at three intermediate locations. The bridge has probably become longest integral bridge of the country. Well foundations have been used to support the bridge. Bridge has been designed for high seismic forces of zone V and opened to the traffic.
